Time for an oil change. I have been using Honda GN4 Motorcycle oil because the previous owner told me he had used it the entire time he had the bike.
I found some Amsoil 10W-40 motorcycle oil on the web and was wondering if this would be a better choice for my 750F being that it is synthetic.
Thoughts?

This is what I have been using....

I have been using amsoil for years and use it in all my bikes from my 750 up to my cbr and my motocross bikes. Upon period teardowns of the motocross motor piston looked brand new and camshaft as well. It does make the tranny shift smoother. I have seen oil analysis done on gn4 vs other oils and I am not impressed with the results of the honda oil. But in the end it is all up to you. My dad has been running castrol gtx car oil in his 750's since the 70's and has never had a problem with the clutch or any other part of the motors. I have had problems with some synthetics in the cb750's making the starter clutches slip but not in all of them. In my opinion it is personal preference and everyone will have there own experiences and opinions.
