Hello. Are you still in search for carbs, & do they need to be correct for the year because of resto work, or do they just need to work properly? I have a set of carbs that are for early models (before pd carbs). The tops screw on like bottle tops. I'm not sure if the fuelcock on the 80's tanks are vacuum operated. If so, I would fit a set of KZ650 carbs from '78 if possible. They should be easy to find, easy to get rebuild parts for, operate the vacuum fuelcock, and not be the sluggish cv carbs. With a 5/16" thick flat stock, you can fab a plate that spaces em properly w correct mounts if you enjoy light duty engineering. If not vacuum op, then try out these early carbs.
