Problem with running lights

My running lights (front head light and rear light) are not on when my bike is running. I can turn them on but I have to turn the key all the way clockwise but then I can not start the bike. It is a 82 cb750. If anyone has any ideas to the problem please let me know.

I'm having the same problem. I had to replace my harness and most everything else works. Did you find a solution or does anyone have any ideas?

Find a manual, find the wiring diagram, and find out what isn't connecting.


Are there aftermarket switches on the bike? My '75 has a switch for the headlight/tail light so they are not on when the bike is first turned on. If someone put new switches on the bike, maybe they changed things around?
