What year is my engine

I bought an engine from a guy and dont know exactly how to tell by the numbers on it.

CB750-2436023

sohc motor? should be a cb750e- number if your number is a cb750e-2436023 then its a 76 k6

It is an E. Sorry I didnt mean to skip that character. That'll still mount into a 73 frame right? Cause dont that generation go from 68-76?

yes it will fit. All sohc 750 will fit, 69 to the last in 78

Awesome. And I should be able to put my carb setup from my 73 engine on the new engine I got too correct?

I’m wondering the difference between the 69-76 k engines.
I bought a k0 frame and engine, but the engind is a restamp-need to find out what year it is by chariitaristics, not just engine number. Looking forward to helping and sharing. Thanks again

What did they restamp it as? Probably going to need to take some pictures so can look at it. KO had a couple of easy things to check for but later on it will be fairly hard to figure out exactly. Doesnt really mater what year the engine is unless your doing a correct accurate restoration. They will all bolt in and work in the frames.
