My Amen Savior CB750

My new old fishtails wasn't half as bad as they looked in the ebay listing. And they cleaned up nice with some Blue-Job.

Tonight I'll be taking on the endeavor of stapling my seat cover to my seat. Fingers crossed and all that..

Got my seat done. Still need to glue a back side cover on to it, but the worst part is done. Turned out ok, I think..

(Again, sorry 'bout the crappy IG pic)

Oh - and I might need to get a big bore kit to make up for all the extra weight caused by my excessive use of staples..

I relocated my coils. Finally. Took some tinkering to get into place..

And I'm continuing my buffing spree.

My beat up rear brake shield got a buff. It really shows what lousy shape it was in to begin with..

And I got to buff a sheet of stainless steel as a new cover for my electrics box.
Before buffing it:

And after:

And my lowers. Guess which one is done.

Been knocking out some more stuffs on my Amen. Welded a taillight and plates bracket to my sissy. Gave it a shine. And I fabbed up a dual headlight mount. Pictures....

that is going to be sweet, i can only imagine the patience you have had with it. about your coils, i would be concerned about water getting to them being so low and underneath everything. are you going to enclose them and if so wouldn't that be to much heat after restricting the airflow to them? just curious,i have always seen them topside.

Should be fine just use some di-electric grease on the electrical connections to keep and moisture out. Di-electric also helps with making better electrical connection on any connection it is used on. As long as wires in good condition dont think there will be an issue.

You seem to know what your doing on these bikes... I have one as well ...... What rear rim do you use and what's the back spacing etc.... I've tried a few differ years and a Cb 500 rim and none seem to work. My number is also 7123011840 if you can share any and all info. I also need parts and seen u had a springer at first. Still have it???

If yours is for a CB750 motor (which I suppose since you're posting here on CB750.com) the you can fit any 69-78 CB750 rear wheel in there. Just be aware of the chain alignment since the sprocket side of the rear hub is different in distance from the center of the wheel, between the earlier and later CB750 sohc.

I had to fab my own spacers to align my rear wheel once I got it laced and with the rubber on. Just make sure that you center the wheel and that the chain align with the front sprocket when you do. I can get you the width between my rear plungers tonight if that helps.

You will be needing a longer rear axle than stock to. I'll get you that measurement as well tonight.

I'm in Sweden, so calling you will cost a bunch. If I don't get back as fast as you wish here on the board, hit me up at barndrunks@gmail.com That way your email ends up in my phone. Makes communicating faster..

Good luck.

Dielectric grease. And I try and not ride when it rains. (No front fender either) And I ride with my fingers crossed. That's the tricky part.

Still waiting for my 6 over tubes. And I need to address some minor wiring, front brake, exhausts etc..

looking extremely good Stabler:thumbsup:
you are soon to be filling the void from building with riding.

Thanks lt. I'll get some pictures of our scots May 31st. We'll have a ride out then.. Should bring out a lot of scoots..

You are gonna have yours ready to ride before me lol. Still waiting on motor parts. And waiting for it to stop raining and summer decide to show up. Good thing I have some others to ride :bike:
