1979 and 1980K seat, tank and covers compatibility

Howdy All, I've got an '80K that runs great but is in rough shape cosmetically. I can pick up a '79 that has pretty parts. I'm wondering if the seat, tank and covers are a straight bolt-on application. Many Thanks.

Well I found out the '79 is a K, so I'm contemplating giving it a go. Thanks for the insights!

Go read the further reply on the other thread you posted to. The 79K and 80K seats are likely different and will not interchange. 79K seat folds up and attached totally differently. It probably is lacking the front slip in tab that locks front of seat down, it has to be gone to pivot up in folding.

Tank and side covers may well work.

Go to the partzilla website and look at the different parts for them.
