Just Bought 82 CB750 Nighthawk. Running on one cylinder. I’m novice but testing seems to indicate bad ignition cores. 3.2 on front and 1.0 or zilch on plug. What and where for best replacement?

One Second Q ... Clymer manual suggests NGK DPR8EA-9 But after cleaning paint over from ID plate indicates NGK 8ESL Which Clymer lists as 81 Canadian. WTF??

The R in plug number means resistor plug. use a 8EA unless driving it hard, then use a 9EA. The 9 will wetfoul easier if you have the below mentioned condition.

Not running on all cylinders is often burned valves due to never setting them. Compression test tells all there.
