Hi all, just purchased an '81 CB750K. Really stoked, can't wait to get her out for a run. 1981_honda_cb750-k_1582431238f9f98764daDSC_0236-copy-scaled.jpg

Whatever you do make sure the valves have been adjusted recently, the most common cause of engine problems and burned valves to make them run like crap. Nobody ever did it.

Thanks, this is what is complete and to-do. Am I missing anything?

Done
* Remove rust, clean and seal fuel tank
* Clean & rebuild carbs
* New insulators
* New tires
* Oil change
* New hand grips
* New battery
* New spark plugs
* New sprockets
* New chain

To-Do
* Replace points & condenser
* Set timing and dwell
* Adjust timing chain
* Adjust valves
* Synch carbs
* Replace air & fuel filters
* Replace rotor windings
* Adjust cam chains
* Replace brake pads
* Replace brake fluid
* Compression Test

There is no points, all electronic, leave it alone. Replacing the rotor may just get you another bad one, common. Run the one you have if it's working.
