My new to me 1977 f2 feels very firm at the front end giving it a choppy feel. I also have a Kawasaki kz750 twin which has a much softer feel to it which I prefer. What is the best way to soften the Hondas feel, thinner oil, less oil ? Or would softer springs from an earlier model do the trick? Thanks in advance 1st post)đź‘‹

I am curious as well. My 79 is pretty brutal, but one of the forks doesn't have oil so I know I may be overthinking that one.

Use thinner oil. No oil is worse, the fork beats itself to death with damaged parts. Less oil puts you closer to that. Earlier models do not necessarily have softer springs, they can be harder. Too much oil past the needed amount can make them too stiff.
