Rebuilding the MC as it was original. Ordered a rebuild kit. Then a second one because I thought I made a mistake. Both came in with a smaller diameter kit than what is on the bike. Plunger was about 1MM smaller. Could this be because the MC came from an older model and used anyway at the factory? I was told the entire brake system is original. Would anyone know if the rebuild kit for a 73 cb750 master cylinder uses the same kit as all bikes from 70-78? THis one has a clear plastic reservoir. Thanks in advance!

If it has a plastic reservoir it is not original 73. Original is metal with a screw on cap. post a picture maybe be able to tell you what it is.

No, it isn't. It's for dual discs and why it's 5/8". The original one is 9/16" as it was used on a single disc bike, and why your parts are too small.

So my choices are to replace this with an original single disc MC or rebuild this one. Would anyone know where to get a rebuilding kit for this one? also I guess the only place to find a replacement is ebay? This is my first Honda so please forgive my questions.
