Basically I joined your forum to get information on a front end that came on a CL450 parts bike I bought a while back. As near as I can figure it is probably from a 78 CB 650 or 750 DOHC if they were made in 78. It has the air lines connecting the fork caps and it is a 35mm tubes and single disc.

The CL has the drum brake so the brake stay on the other side is not used of course. I think later model lowers had duel disc and a casting ridge that ran center line front and back, don't know if that shows well in the pic these are smooth.

I found these on an Ebay search which look the same.

I can't find it now but the 750 front end that looked the same I believe was 78 or 79 and a spoke wheel. I thought I could use the front end at some point but would need to know more about it. Is this the brake caliper that it uses?

And then there would be the issue of the correct wheel and disc. Any way if you know for sure what it is let me know if you would. Thanks Mike

Howdy all, I am the one that posted this previous thread. I was having trouble signing in, password wouldn't work so I re-registered using another Email. Any clarification on what forks these are would be greatly appreciated. I have came to the conclusion that I would be better off trying to sell or trade these for CB450 forks. Thanks, Must not be many people that visit this forum as I would have expected at least one response or even a Hello.

The problem is that the fork was used on more than one bike and the internal settings can be quite different for different uses and fork look identical. The calipers changed too.

I imagine OEM 450 forks will be even harder to find by now.
