I'm leaking oil from the drain plug - previous owner had two non oem washers and a bunch of liquid sealant there. I replaced with a Honda washer and no liquid sealant, thinking everything would be okay, but it's leaking now. Does anyone else add sealant to the drain plug?

I don't disagree you shouldn't use sealant here, but I think my alternative is to swap the oil pan out, and this is quickly becoming a ride til it dies bike with how much shit that has been improperly.

Take a good look around the hole, may be a hairline crack. If you dont see an obvious problem then it may be your best bet to just replace the pan as you stated. Should be able to pick up a used one fairly reasonable.

If you go for another pan, be aware that there is more than one and at least one moves the screen to a different location to not interchange on some of the bikes.
