I am restoring my 1981 Honda CB 750 K,. This a basket case ,. And as I am coming along on this,. I always find something that looks out of place,.,The previous owner was going to make a Cafe bike out of this,. I noticed the rear sprocket had a price tag on it,.,It has 38 teeth The OEM has 46 teeth,.,What does this do as far as performance and do I need to replace with the original one,.,?

Thks Keith,.,

That is a huge difference in sprocket size. if the front sprocket is stock size the smaller rear would raise your top mph and lower your cruising rpm but will kill your acceleration. you need to check the front sprocket to see if they also dropped the count on that. If the front was dropped as well as the rear it could be close to stock ratio
