So I have a bolt on the exhaust side of my engine just in the front that appears to add some clapping pressure to the gasket between the cylinder and the bottom casing of the engine. My only problem is that I can't get this bolt to tighten therefore I've got a rather decent oil leaking going on because of the lack of any clapping pressure being put on the gasket. Basically, whats happening is I can spin the 10 mm nut that is on the bolt but it never tightens at all...
Has anyone ever had this problem?

Here is a picture of the bolt I'm referring to:

*picture is not mine but this is the exact bolt I'm referring to. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Please close. Nut ended up not having any threads left in it. cut off the nut carefully and replaced it and problem solved!

Scratch that. The bolt threads are completely messed up which is the result of the nut being messed up. Anyone know of a part number for this bolt?

Go to hardware store and pick up a short piece of 6mmX1.0 pitch thread and cut it to length to use it. Well equipped Ace Hardwares have them. New nut too. You can even use a standard bolt there if the length is carefully picked.
