New member signing on, just purchased an 81 CB750F with 12k original miles here in WA state. Runs ok but has been sitting for quite a while. Actually rode it today up the street and of course carburetion is an issue. Initially it looks like a float is stuck in #1 or #4(not sure how the carbs are ordered) but it leaks out of the bowl nipple when shut off. The previous owner removed the carbs and "cleaned" them but it runs rough. Any advice on what to do with the CV's is welcome, ultrasonic cleaning?? or whatever is the procedure for getting them right. I would like to put a Dynojet Stage III kit with K&N pods matched up with maybe a Delkevic 4/1 exhaust. Anyhow here's some pics from today, also any ideas on an aluminum swingarm would be welcome. Thanks for listening...DJ

Search for SeanG's carb manual, download, and read/follow it. Pods are pretty, but the bike runs better with the stock airbox and filter. Check your valve clearances and set them .004-.006" Read, read, read.

Thanks for the info. Just went thru the carb manual, pretty thorough, explains the mysterious CV carb. Earlier I had come across the similar carb bible on the GSResources site.
