HELP!! I need a Vacuum slide (disphram) spring !

    Hey ya'll

I'm a noob to this forum and need help. I'm rebuilding my carbs from my 79' CB750k and I'm missing a vacuum slide (diaphram?) spring. Part # 16050-443-701 as Honda lists it. The part is out of production and i can't seem to find one anywhere. Is there a replacement that i can use or is there a secret place i can find one? Please help the entire set is a paper weight without it.

    Thank you!

You might try the Classified section, or search ebay for "cb750 carb piston spring".

    From Partzilla for this part:

This Honda*16050-443-701 SPRING, VACUUM PISTON*fits the following models and components:

Honda Motorcycle 1979 CB750L A Carb. Component Parts

    Honda Motorcycle 1980 CB750K A - 750 FOUR K Carb. Component Parts

Honda Motorcycle 1979 CB750K A - LIMITED EDITION Carb. Component Parts

    Honda Motorcycle 1983 CM250C AC - 250 CUSTOM Carburetor

    Honda Motorcycle 1982 CM250C A - 250 CUSTOM Carburetor

    Honda Motorcycle 1983 CM250C A - 250 CUSTOM Carburetor

    Honda Motorcycle 1980 CB750F A - 750 SUPER SPORT Carburetor Comp Parts

    Honda Motorcycle 1979 CB750F A - 750 SUPER SPORT Carburetor Comp Parts

So, this should expand your field some. You might measure one of the others and compare to GL1000 parts, even some Honda cars.

Have you tried David Silver Spares, a bit pricey but a good reference:

I ended up getting a CB550 diaphragm on Ebay because it was a good price and i also needed the cover - it fits great but i had to cut the rod down to length!
