New to site,.,Carb removal.,

Hello Everyone. My name is Keith,.,I live about an hr North of Pittsburgh. I have 3 Motorcycles and just bought a 1981 Honda CB 750 4 K,.,I have been looking for this bike for awhile now,.,It will be a ground up restoration,.,And needing some parts as someone was trying to make a rat bike out of it,.,Anyway I was wondering when you take out the philips screws out of the mounting plates is there a trick to sliding them off the rails,.,? I am sure you PB blaster them good too.,And any help anyone can give me on any issues with this bike ,. Appreciate it too.

Carbs out yet? If not, that is first. I heat the isolators with a heat gun until just warm to the touch to make it easier on them and me to get the carbs out. I advise not starting until you obtain a #2 JIS screwdriver. Philips drivers will just ruin the screws. There is a wonderful instructional pdf on carb rebuild. The Carbs were already off bike,.,I did figure out how to remove them from each other,.,
