Hi all, I'm new to this forum and to rebuilding motorcycles. Never done it before but eager to learn. I acquired a cb750E I believe a 73' with the engine only. No carbs, brakes, throttle, starter. Basically the frame engine and 2 wheels. Looking for some guidance on where to start. I know I have to make sure the engine isn't seized. Can I throw a kickstarter on and see if she turns? Any tips and tricks are greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes. I would take the spark plugs out first and turn it over. I would then take a compression test if you have a compression tester. I think you can rent one from Auto zone, O'reilly's auto. You should have 120 p.s.i. or more at each cylinder. If you get 120 or more that's good and should have a motor that runs. Good luck.
