Should I rebuild or place the suspension?

I have never rebuilt a bike before, a few cars but never a bike. I bought a 1979 cb750 frame that came with complete forks and rear shocks and a few other things but I've got it striped down to just the frame and am now get the parts to put back together. So my question is should rebuild the front suspension or just buy new forks? If I rebuilt how much would it be?

New fork seals and fork oil, maybe $25 in parts. Not to hard to do.

I changed front fork springs. No nose dives.

My bike seems to be excessively bumpy these days. I rebuilt the front forks several years ago and the rear shocks have very little use though they are probably 2-3 years old now. Have the springs gone to crap?

Mine would dive under braking. Even light braking. Put the front fork pressure to max and see how it is

@Skelee....we have the same issues with the same bike. To make my matters worst, I have lowered my bike. What springs did you use?

    Thanks

I used progressive. I got them via Fortnine in Canada. I am sure easier to get in US.
Now the bike is much better.
