Bike came to me with a lot missing parts. I've got a 76 headlight bucket and I can't get it to line up with ears on the forks. It hits the front brake splitter on the frame and brake line to the grip is distorted. Man, what a mess of wires in that area. Any help would be appreciated. I just got it to start/run this morning after sitting for 8yrs in a sad state of neglect. Replaced the complete harness as some stuff was toggled or missing...
Thanks Ray

Pictures would help. The 78 bucket would be much shallower then the earlier ones.
Pretty hard to take a pic that makes sense. It's hitting the front brake 3 way joint that is attached to the frame beneath the gages. It's all factory stuff, it should fit.*

Thank you

I just found out there are two different headlight buckets for that bike. There's a k and an F. Apparently I have a k headlight bucket but I need the F, so if anybody needs that information there it is

The fork ears are probably longer on the K also. I know the earlier k fork ears are longer then the ones in your picture.

I spend a lot of time on a parts fiche but it seems you sometimes need previous knowledge to use them properly. I've been playing with this Honda, my 1st since 68, for about 3 months and having a lot fun w it. Elated when it finally started. The engine's roar sounds really great, like it might be fast-for 1976 anyway. There's a bit of engine rattle going on in neutral, I hope it's a wonky clutch.
