Hope someone can help me out here real quick
I have a cb750f 1977 and I would like to know what seals the threaded insert that screws into the head? The card boots mount to it and they are held secure with clamps. Doesn't it have to be sealed somehow as to prevent it from causing an air leak? Thanks Chuter

The threaded part is never meant to be taken out of the head. The threads are a slight interference fit. If by some chance you got them out without stripping the threads then I would just use a locktite.

They came out with no problem at all. Threads are perfect, no torn threads at all. I ended up applying copper neverseize and reinstalling them after cleaning them. They just unscrewed so I would never have guessed noone has ever removed them. Sooooooo they are back in and I will proceed with installing new boots. Have been chasing a jetting problem all summer. Thanks, Chuter
