Is there an easy fix for a leaking fork seal? I was thinking of using a playing card to make sure it isn't just dirt in there. I bought an 81 cb750c last fall, has about 43k miles on it. The leak isn't bad, but I wanted to get it inspected this weekend. If I just replace the seal, do I need any special tools, or is it pretty straight forward? I have the Clymer's manual and you tube, what could possibly go wrong?

You gotta replace the seal, easy. Skills are what goes wrong there, having them or not. It's never dirt, rather dings from rocks hitting tubes or simple rust spots in the chrome. I'd take #600 sandpaper to the inner tube before re-installing the leg to get any rust or ding high pebble off the tube, it will quickly fault your new seal. Of course you must clean the tube really well after that.
