Just wondering anybody's opinion on new parts vs nos, I know nos is new, well not really new but old and never used.
Ok I'm looking to replace some internal engine parts like cam chain tensioners and was wondering which is better, new or nos? Just wondering if time has any effect on these kinds of parts because of the materials used? I'm not really sure what materials are used if it's some kind of rubber, plastic, Delron, etc.
Any and all opinions are encouraged. Thanks!

New timing chains suck, they have smaller pins and break easy. At least Morse type used on DOHC. New ignition switches pretty much suck as well, they commonly fall apart.
