Hi, As i Look at all the Electrical Components on my new to me 78 Hondamatic 750 i come across some Puzzels, The Switch ? or something on the Rear Brake Peddle (park Brake ) Shaft , What does it do ?

I don't know much about the hondamatics, but found this:

For the engine to turn when the starter was pressed, the transmission had to be in neutral. And if you forgot to shift into neutral before parking the Honda CB750A, deploying the side stand would do it for you. Both of these features were obviously intended to prevent unintended launches. Similarly, a push-button parking brake acting on the rear wheel prevented the bike from rolling away if parked on a slope, there being no direct gear linkage between engine and wheels. Even after the brake button was released, the brake remained on and the bike wouldn’t roll until the rider dabbed the brake pedal.

I have always wanted one just to have one because Honda did some interesting things on the Hondamatics. Not great performers but still a neat bike.

the convertors all rattle like the bike is gonna blow. hard to sell one, they sound horrid idling. complete dog. have had a bunch of them. in fact i sent a complete engine and chassis to the scrap yard last month. some parts unique to the bike. I kept some of it.

I have one and it doesn't rattle at all. Definately not powerful, but makes a great commute bike! There is a switch on the left side just below the seat that is a parking brake set/release knob. Bummer that you scrapped your bike cyclebuster. There aren't many of them left. You can find more info at: http://forums.sohc4.net/
