Lights on 74 CB750F

Lights are not working but brake light and parking rear light works..so the rear bulb is good. Problem started when my electric starter would not disengage. I ended up disconnecting the battery to stop the starter. I disconnected the starter and kick started the bike but the headlight and rear light don't work. I checked the fuses they all looked fine. I have since reconnected the starter wire-and the bike starts fine but the lights still don't work. I was going to change the front bulb but since the rear doesn't go on I think it may be something else.
