I have a CB650C I did a bit to, it's fun. I still need to clean up the engine and tweak a few things.

Some sweet rides folks. I really regret having to sell my XS650. Old hondas don't show up too often in SoCal, and when they do they are elevated in price compared to the rest of the country. Looking at Ebay I am moved to tears when I see the deals others get on bikes I would want, but once you factor in shipping it's no longer a good deal. So when this showed up locally I jumped on it even though it's a wreck. Top end is shot, rust bucket, varnish drenched......and those are the good points. Then the state of California royally reamed me to register it in my name. It's waiting on the sidelines for funds and time, but that tank has got to go.

That's one beautiful 76 F. I'm also working on one too. I found the brake parts to be the hardest to get and most expensive so far.
What has your experience been like getting parts for it?

Thanks for the compliment. It has been in the works a long time. I haven't really had much trouble finding parts. cb750supply and vintage cb750 have been a couple of good sources. The only part I couldn't find was the front caliper piston. Nobody and I do mean nobody has or makes one. I ended up having to get the machinist in our shop to make one for me. should have had him make a dozen of them.

My problem exactly, tracking down the front piston was expensive and time consuming. I finally found someone on Fleabay which actually makes them in his shop.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-CB-75...ries&hash=item35d2b446f2&vxp=mtr#ht_691wt_941 I guess $60 isn't that bad for a custom made part.
Then later I bought a complete assembly for very cheap on fleabay which came with the piston, pads and seals so now I have a backup....or one to sell down the road.
I love the tanks on the Supersport series but wish they were narrower or had knee scallops, modifying my tank would have been too expensive.
Best of luck on your build.

Some nice looking bikes guys. Glad to see I'm not the only one who can't have just one motorcycle. Keep the pictures coming! :bike:

Here's the latest in my stable. Wahoo Scooter
20130902_161422_zpsb0bd7936.jpg

My sister had it up at her lake house. It started acting up, battery running dead, not starting, ect... She took it to a local shop and they had it for several months, charged her a bunch of $ and gave up on it. Last fall she told me that if I want it to come get it, so I did. It sat in my garage until a month or so ago when I started messing with it. Turns out that it's a pretty generic Chinese scooter with 139QMB engine. I couldn't find much on the scooter it's self, but once I found out about the engine, the flood gates opened and I found all sorts of info. I upgraded the battery, put a new CDI, Coil and spark plug in it, then found that it was the CVT transmission was the problem. It fired right up with the drive belt off. I took the variater off, cleaned and lubed it, put it all back together and it's running great!

Fun little toy for running into town and for the kids to scoot around on.

Funny thing about scooters is that most of the grown men who drive them do so because they lost their drivers license.

When stopped and showed it to my neighbor, he said "Scooters are like fat girls, fun to ride, but you hate to have your friends see you with one"

And Vicman, yeah it's not the coolest ride, but I take pride in the fact that I fixed it for next to nothing, while the so-called professional mechanic couldn't fix it.

Yep, fixing a freebie is always cool. I was busting on you...for obvious reasons.

in one of the other bike forums I am on there is a guy with a signature that says "Skooters and Pacific Coasts are for guys who like the wing blowing on their vag."
I thought it was pretty funny.
