Anybody put DOHC exhaust on a SOHC?

Hi everybody. I've done some searching on exhaust interchange between the DOHC and SOHC and it seems that in theory there is some interchange with the main difference being that the DOHC pipes will hang down further due to the deeper wet sump.

Has anybody ever actually tried this? I'm working on a '75 and I can either find overpriced rust, or even more expensive decent, or OMG stock for SOHC but there seems to be halfway decent somewhat affordable stuff out there for the DOHC.

Here is a picture of a Vance & Hines sidewinder header for dohc...that I own...

I know of a guy using a Vance and Hines for drag racing on a sohc so yes it should work. Look at http://www.cyclexchange.net/New Exhaust System Page.htm some more reasonable options.

Link is for the 77/78 CB750 (collars on studs) but they also have the spigot mount for earlier models as well.
