Giveaway: The Fine Art of the Motorcycle Engine hardcover book by Daniel Peirce (giveaway ends Wednesday November 21st, 2012 at 11pm CST)

Hey guys, I bought one of these books a couple of weeks ago and bought another one to give away to one of you guys! I'll even cover shipping worldwide! It makes a great coffee table book.

There are two requirements to enter the drawing:
1) Post in this thread before 11pm CST on Wednesday November 21st, 2012.
2) Have three meaningful posts in The Garage forum before 11pm CST on Wednesday November 21st, 2012.

I'm not going to be very strict on the second rule, but the posts must have some substance and be more than just "cool bike". This is to make sure the winner is an active member not just here for the giveaways, but allows for new members to enter the drawing and still have a chance to qualify. Here's a picture of the actual book you will receive:

Here's the description of the book:

By tradition, the motorcycle is a naked beast. Differing from other vehicles by the fact that its mechanical structure is also part of its esthetic appearance. In the The Fine Art of the Motorcycle Engine, photographer Daniel Peirce examines the graphic nature of historic engines with stunning and dramatic photography. Since the beginning of the motorbike, engine designers knew they had to design power plants that performed well and looked good doing it. Peirce presents 64 stunning pictures from his popular Up-N-Smoke Engine Project. In addition to his engine photography the book also tells the story of the project and the years it took to bring it from an inspired idea to a tangible reality. The story of the Up-N-Smoke Engine Project journals how what started as an artistic outlet became an obsession and eventually a business. This is the project that Cycle World magazine called ‘Pornography for Gearheads.’ A special chapter is included showing the process that each picture needed to go through in order to create the finished product.

The book features this picture of a CB750 engine which is from Daniel Peirce's popular Up-N-Smoke Engine Project. I plan to sell 16"X20" prints of this picture for Daniel Peirce soon, but with the title as "CB750". I'll post more information on that soon.

Good luck everyone!

That would be a cool print to have hanging on a shop wall. I would probably be interested in on at some point. Wouldn't mind having that book either, looks interesting. Great giveaway Travis

Yeah they are metallic prints and are really cool. I have one of the CB750 and XS650. I'm going to get mine custom framed because they are so nice. Here's what Daniel Peirce says about the metallic prints:

What is a Metallic Print? An Endura Metallic print is a unique imaging paper from Eastman Kodak. Photographically printed, the subtle metallic surface produces a depth and color richness unmatched by any other process. A distinct 3D effect is discernible in many of the images. Giclee printing is swell, but for engine pictures, Metallic is the only way to go. Additionally, print longevity is an impressive 100 years. Metallic prints will not disappoint.

This is the version of the print Daniel Peirce created for me to sell on this site:
