74 cb750 using a 78 350xl dirt bike rim????

just bought a 74 cb750 and it had a 16 inch spoked rim on it. I want to go back to stock size and found one 4.00 x 18 but it is from a dirt bike and not sure if there is a weight rating difference or if it will work. any input would be great thanks.

They generally use closer to a 3.50X19 on the front.

If Your talking about the whole rim and hub it won,t there all different, Better off going back to a D.I.D. 18" rim 40spoke and reusing Your hub with new spokes.
