Hi all first post here, I've been reading through the build logs on here and there are some amazing builds and restorations. I decided on attempting a motorcycle build a while ago and have been sitting around waiting for something to pop up, I mentioned it to a guy I work with and through a friend of his, I now own a 1980 CB750F I bought for $200

It needs a good cleaning but the engine turns over and it's complete and all it needed when the guy bought it was a new stator.
I want to kind of go for a scrambler sort of build.

My ideas so far are updating the suspension, and putting it on a diet and putting some wider rubber on it.
Now one question I have, are there any other bikes that would be a more direct swap for a swingarm/fork swap. I have a line on a 97 GSXR 750 rolling frame with clean title. I have access to a lathe/mill, and mig, tig and stick welder. I'm not a novice fabricator but new to bike building so any advice would be great and more helpful than you would know.
Cheers
Adam
