I posted this earlier, but it doesn't appear to have posted in the forum. I have a 93 nighthawk chopper I am building. I would like to get rid of the oil cooler and replace it with an oil tank, but that is where the problem may be if I have the oiling systems function down correctly. Is this motor a wet sump system? How can I avoid dumping 3 qts. of oil into the pan when the motor is shut off if it is? I realize a manual shutoff would work, but I would prefer not to use one as this could cause problems down the road.

Pretty much all later model stuff is wet sump. Can't use a separate oil tank on it. The oil pump and system is different.
