1977 CB750 I have an oil leak happening from the bottom of this cover next to the shifter. Trying to order a replacement gasket, but without a diagram I'm not sure which gasket I need to order. Anyone know the proper name for the gasket under the cover in the photo?

shift cover oem #11395-300-303 Try here http://www.cb750supply.com/products/4/engine i have used there gaskets before and cheaper then oem. you need to also check the neutral switch under the motor right next to the side cover, they are prone to leaking also. Unless the cover has been off and the gasket reused the side covers vary rarely leak.

Slight problem, gasket almost fits. The bolt pattern is right except for one bolt hole, the one by my thumb in the picture. I emailed the company and they said that gasket is designed to fit all 69-78 CB750 bikes, and have yet to have someone order it and say it doesn't fit. My bike started out as a 77 CB750F, previous owner said he swapped in a 77 CB750K motor, but now I'm not so sure he's right. 20160220_145446.jpg

Do you know, are there identification marks, labels, serial numbers etc, on the motor that would verify I have the right year then?
