RC engine an CL

I would buy it just for the RC motor but no way I can go to PA for it. Wish it was closer to me. Anyone want to buy it? I would give the $1000 shipped to me for the RC motor and sohc motor parts...you can keep the frames and dohc bike and parts for yourself.

Adding some more to the collection lol Thanks for doing the leg work Jamie!

Will do a tear down and inspect with pictures for everyone. Hoping to find some exciting stuff in the bottom end:D

I went and picked up the RC stuff today and will be sending it all to Dirtdigger. I got 3 bikes, a 79 dohc bored to 902 that has what the PO says is huge cams, running F1100 carbs and Vance & Hines exhaust, it's rough cosmetically but he said it ran a year ago. I'm going to get it running again and make it look a little better. #2 is a 78K that has a stuck motor, hoping I can free it up easily. #3 is the frame that had the RC engine, it is pretty much trash as they cut the lower supports from it and had some highway bars on the front that crushed the down tubes, it has a good stock engine in it that I will pull out and put into the 78 frame and get it running. I also got a nice Dresda boxed swing arm 1 1/2" over and a 18x4.5 Excell aluminum spoked rear wheel laced to a cb hub, they will go on my new café build i'm starting soon. I'll post some pics when I figure out why my PC wont let me LOL.

I just got done building a 12x12 shed just for my spare 750 parts...not including the engine parts...they stay inside out of the weather and close to the engine build benches.

That dohc sounds interesting as far as what is in the motor. That vance and hines pipe should be able to be made fit the sohc750, not 100% positive but I know some guys run a dohc pipe on the sohc.

Yeah the PO said the head has been ported and decked with oversized valve's and the cam lobes are so large they had to mill out the head to get them to clear. I turned the engine over with a ratchet and socket and it has some crazy compression. Cant wait to get a battery in it and do a proper compression test. Also said its so loud you need earplugs in even with your helmet on. The guy who built it also built the RC engine your getting. He didn't know what kind of times he was getting out of the DOHC.

The vance and hines pipes are good pipes and engineered well. They both got there start with racing and engines from RC Engineering so they started out as sohc honda guys.

Did a proper compression test on the 79 DOHC today I got 187, 191, 190, 188. That's very respectful compression from an engine that has only been run a couple times in the last 15 years. It didn't have any spark so I couldn't get it to fire. I pulled the carbs for a full teardown and ultrasonic cleaning, it's running 68 slow jets and 135 mains. I will have to go through the wiring to find the problem with the spark.

Thats some very good compression especially if it has large cams. My 12.8 to 1 1026 motor with rc327 cam runs 150 to 155 psi. Would be interesting to see what they did to the inside of that thing but no point in tearing it down until you get it running and see how it sounds.
