This works, Mix 1 Part Molasses to 9-10 Parts water. I put mime in a 5 gal bucket, just hooked on a coat hanger (must be oil and grease free). I checked every couple of days, It took a few days to start fermenting, some pieces took 2 weeks and others took only a few days. WILL NOT HARM CHROME OR REMOVE PAINT. Lite brushing is required sometimes, the chrome light was in for aprox 2 weeks Tool Tray before.jpgTool Tray after.jpgTail Light before.jpgTail Light after.jpg

Thanks for the tip. Strange that molasses would clean rust.
Another method is lemon juice or vinegar and baking soda.
Make a soupy slurry out of it and rub it on or submerse and leave it
for awhile. I can't say it's safe on paint though, I've never tried it
for anything other than zinc plated parts.
