Hey guys!

So this is my first post, I finally purchased a 1980 Honda CB750c last month and today I decided to tear it down and clean up all the gunk! I am also trying to replace the original air filter with four single air filters.

When I removed the original air filter there were two tubes that connected from the engine into the air filter case. What are they used for? Since I am not putting the old filter case back in do I need to plug these holes?

Second photo is the carbs with the new air filters.

Thanks in advance!

They are crank case breathers...you can not block them. You will have to fashion some sort of filter to put on them.
