Hello all - I am new to the site and looking for some help.

I have a 1978 CB750k with a very strange issue. It is firing on cylinders 3 and 4, but won't fire on 1 and 2 (or vice versa).

I have coil #1 hooked up to the blue wire from the points and hooked up to spark plugs 1 and 4.
I have coil #2 hooked up to the yellow wire from the points and hooked up to spark plugs 2 and 3.
I have the black wire from both coils hooked up to battery.
So basically, each coil will only provide current to one wire.

I cant even figure out how this is physically possible. Has anyone seen anything like this before?

I presume you've checked the spark plug wires and moved around the spark plugs to rule this out first? Second, do you have compression in those two barrels?
