What year is it ??

Here's a timeline in case it might help. Looks like it's a K1, but the year could maybe either 70 or 71. http://www.hondachopper.com/engine/engine_timeline/timeline.html

I bought my first bike in '71 also. It was frame s/n 1056939 and was a '71. Manufactured date was September '70 if I recall correctly... was a loooong time ago and I have no idea why I remember those numbers. Does it have a cable to each carb, or just the push and pull cables that control all at the same time?

Until now, I always thought K0 was '70 and K1 was '71. I know that when I bought mine new in '71 I had put my down payment on a '70 and it had the different side covers, etc., but when I went back to pick it up the next weekend, the dealer had sold that one and gave me a '71 instead. I pitched a little bit of a bitch, but they ended up convincing me that the new carb linkage was a huge benefit because the 4 individual cables would stretch and cause synch issues. Had I only known then what I think I know now! All things considered, it wouldn't have made any long term difference because I wrecked that first bike at 30,000 miles, so wouldn't still have it anyway.

I guess if yours could be K0 or K1, I'd check for which model side covers it has; which carbs it has; and what the red line on the tack is. You may already know the differences between a K0 and a K1, but if not, here's a link to some manuals... look at the K1-K8 supplement listed here and it'll tell you the differences: http://www.sohc4.net/cb750k-manuals/
