This is kinda stupid.. I've been pulling and mounting my carbs so much lately due to a cold cylinder that I finally managed to brake the threads in two carbs at the same time, while tightening down my float bowls. Three screws in total on two different bowls tore the seats in the carbs. Pictures below:

I can't be the first one to do this, but I only know of a quick fix on the upper right hole. (I can get a longer screw for that one and put a nut on the other side.)
The tricky part is the other two. Is there enough casing to drill and tap for bigger screws or is there a better fix to this? Or am I down to get new carbs? That would really suck..

Thanks, Stabler.

I just looked at a set I have on the shelf and I think you have enough material to go to the next size bigger. Not sure what size these are....but its either go the next size or maybe a small self tapping screw?? The way your luck has been going on these maybe a new set of carbs wouldn't be a bad idea

I know. Bad luck bites me again. Maybe it's the green paint? Anyways, self taping screws you say?

Yeah maybe some just slightly bigger than the originals. I have done it on some automotive carbs in the past.

i am not looking at a set of carbs at the moment so i dont know if this would work but thought of this as i was reading your thread. another thing that may be possible is some light drilling and inserting some small studs with a dab of jb weld on the tip going in to help secure them and then some small nuts to hold the bowl on. if you cant find studs then saw the heads off machine screws. as said i am not looking now so i dont know if is feasible or not.

Thanks man. I went along with helicoils. Will be putting it back together this afternoon and start chasing that cold cylinder again.
