I have a 15" stock spoked real wheel currently and had the opportunity to get a bare 18" mag to replace it. I asked around a bit and was told it shouldn't be any problem to just swap it out. That means removing the brake and sprocket, etc and any of the guts. Both are drum, btw.
Anyone ever done this, and if so, was it fairly straight forward or is there more to it? I'm thinking special tools, or parts that can't be reused. I was told everything is the same size between the two wheels besides the overall dimension. Would hate to have it all apart and realize I need something I don't have. On ounce of prevention and all that.
Thanks
