Hi, all.

New to the group. My primary bike is an '02 Shadow Sabre. I'd been looking for a project bike for a little while, but everything was too expensive, too junked, etc... Lo and behold, a '78 CB750F pops up on Craigslist last week for a good price.

Runs great, all electric works, mostly original bike. Best of all, it's my birth year bike (always wanted one of those, too.)

As purchased:

Switched out handlebar for "broomstick" style:

Removed tail light, turn signals, and trunk, gave the rusty muffler a shot of high temp black:

New brake light and turn signals. The turns are cheapo $3 marker lights from the auto parts store, but they're kind of growing on me.

Total cost to do all of these initial mods? $20!

I bought mine because it was cheap and the same year as I graduated high school. Nine months and many, many dollars later it looks like this and runs silky smooth.
