I pulled the inspection cover to check & set the timing (which was way off) only to find a big puddle of oil in the bottom of the distributor housing. I'm guessing there's a major seal at the back of the housing? Any "gotchas" in removing the distributor I should be aware of? One more part to order...

1982 Honda CB750 Custom. Thanks in advance!

I have oil in the ignition area also and my shop manual didn't mention I would find oil where the CDI is located. How can the engine timing be unaffected when oil is splashing around? Thanks.
