Hi there,
I´ve got a 750 -76 SOHC that´s almost impossible to start when the Engine is Cold!!! For example, i rode it yesterday for almost an hour with a few stops, as long the Engine is warm it starts directly. But earlier this evening i was supposed to ride to the store, brings out the bike, full choke, hit the start button, no throttle and the bike won´t start!!! Try to start with a Little choke, no choke, full throttle, full choke but nothing happens!!!
The sparkplugs gets wet and it smells gasoline, i´ve buoght the bike earlier this spring and it has Always been hard to start.
Where to start????
Is it bad pointers or what???

if the choke closes all the way, the timing is correct and it runs good otherwise, my first guess would be weak condensors / points, a breakdown in the wires to them or the wrong heat range spark plugs.

could be a few other things but i would elinate all that first.
