Hey guys,

Im having a bit of an issue with my low rpm or to about 1/4 throttle. Its sluggish. When I hit the upper rpm the sluggishness goes away. Is this my mixture screw? if so do I turn it in or out to fix?
THanks in Advance

the basics of carb tuning

once it idles good, you have to have the valves adjusted
and the carbs sync'd correctly to get the idle right...

enriching the pilot jets helps your off idle stumble up to about 1/4 throttle open
then it is the needles in the slides to about 5/8 throttle and from there the main jets.

pick your throttle opening then tune from there...

Pod filters are the start of the issue. These carbs just do not seem to like pod filters. The 2nd part to the problem is these carbs just plane suck to work on or get tuned right. I dont even mess with them, I tell people in the long run they will be happier with aftermarket carbs especially if there are any performance enhancements in the future. You might help it by adjusting idle mixture, also sync the carbs to start with and check for vacuum leaks.
