So I bought this 75 CB750 online, not having actually seen it in person.
Finally got it home to my garage last night.
I knew it had been repainted, but in the photos I saw it looked accurate.

In person, I can't remember ever seeing a candy Honda color with such large
sparkly metal flake.

Opinions?

i recall reading recently 1975 was a one color year for 750's, antares* red if i recall correctly.
these bikes are 40 years old or more, not much is truly original any longer.
whatever though the metalflake on yours is sweet

Yeah, that's not stock. 75K had 2 colors, Blue and Red. A couple of years had Orange, but was not nearly that metallic though. Looks sweet though.

Well shoot.
Thanks guys.
Guess I'll be repainting it this winter.

I just wanted something correct and accurate.

VMR paints has a color database that lists several colors for this model year (orange isn't one of them)
How do you know whats accurate ?

the 750F had Flake Sunrise Orange and Candy Sapphire Blue. The 750K had Planet Blue Metallic and Flake Apricot Red. The flake looks way too big.

For the K model yes those are the only two colors. Are you sure you have a 75? 74 is last year of the orange on the 750 K.

Yeah I'm pretty sure.
Funny thing; I was gonna paint my 73 BMW R75/5 toaster in "Curry" (gold) but my wife talked me into Granada Red :banghead:

Seems a shame to strip off such a pretty paint job. You might be able to pick up a tank and covers, get them painted and sell those for a pretty penny.
Here's what the stock colors look like.

I personally think it looks really good that color, Unless Your going for originality.
