How to removed a rusted stator

Rusted or not, the stator can be a bear to get off. I've not done your specific model, but the process I use is to screw a bolt into the stator very tightly, then hit the bolt pretty darn hard with a 4 pound hammer. Then tighten the bolt again, and hit it again. Sometimes they come out with the first whack, sometimes they're more stubborn.

If you don't have or can't find a bolt the right size, I believe the rear axle will work... it's the right size on some models anyway, and yours could be one of them.
