Need tire advice

Best is in the eye of the beholder.
I've had good luck with Bridgestones over the eons and just put a set of raised white Spitfires on my 73. Otherwise a good ol Dunlop will fit the bill for a decent ride and wear.

Yea, Bridgestone Spitfires are what I use on all my bikes. Just be sure to ask the vendor for the date of manufacture code as tires have a 7 year shelf life but they take forever to get through the distribution system to the end user. Two years to delivery to the end user is the norm. Be especially cautious of tires for sale at great prices as they may be old.

I run Kenda Challengers inexpensive and they wear decent (12,000 on last set) run smooth and are great in the rain. I can buy 2 sets of Kenda's to 1 set of Bridgestones and they preform about the same.
