Its fine to run it
F and K have different valve train, valves will not interchange. The 78K valves are oddballs, only year they did it. They are same size as the previous K models but they use the keepers and top...
Yes they should fit
yes it will fit. All sohc 750 will fit, 69 to the last in 78
sohc motor? should be a cb750e- number if your number is a cb750e-2436023 then its a 76 k6
cradle should be close enough
you have to buy the complete cam holder. The holder and the cap are machined as pairs.
They quit doing these giveaways couple years ago....watch the dates on the posts:thumbsup:
Curious as to what direction you are going with your engine?
There wont be any provisions for mounting oil tank. Anything can be done with a sazall and a welder.
if the nut turns and not the engine then the indexing pin is probably sheared off on the back side of the timing advancer. There is no nut behind the points plate. Take the left cover off and use...
what nut are you trying to turn? does it turn over with the starter?
I think best bet would be tell Kenny what you looking to do, he will get you set up.
Well honestly the sohc doesnt really make any more power above the stock redline. Its been shown that the head just wont support it without massive modifications.
I if you look at the pictures in my photo albums most of the parts I have talked about I have used and you can see in some of my builds.
I would do stock or slight weight reduction but balanced. Stock rotor but also balanced. Regulate the rpms meaning nothing more then stock rpm especially with big bore with the cycle x rods. If...
Cycle x is definitely my go to for parts. you will probably be paying 2x the money going with 970...there is a lot more machine work that gets done when going that big. I am glad you want to do it...
kenny is a good dude and a straight shooter. He will tell you exactly what he thinks even if you might not like it. I would call him, tell him what you want and he can build you a motor that will...
Here are my thoughts. A stock displacement 750 that is fresh and tuned keeps up with most HD's. I know because I like to give HD's fits during the Sturgis Rally every year when they invade my neck...
Why are you asking about this on a motorcycle forum??
If it is just highway riding and no drag strip or anything like that then there is no reason to go that big. Your build would be a drag race engine. 836cc w/ 10:1 or maybe the 915 at the very most...
The honda service manual has a fairly decent pic of how the centerstand spring and horseshoe piece look assembled. Best place for the brake link parts would be ebay or like said just go to the...
Bike is finished and delivered this summer to the owner. Didnt get much updates, I own a road construction business and a firearm business and mechanic work on the weekends so my time on here is...
Good luck with your 78. Keep us posted with updates on your project.
I moved your post into the correct forum. Have you checked fuses? power to and out of the switches? Power to the bulb with the brake lever/pedal pulled? check the easy stuff first.
