Pull the carbs are rebuild them, sounds like the idle jets are clogged and the carbs may not be in sync. If you get it wrong the first time, just try again. I'm sure there's plenty of tutorials on...

Just picked up an '82 Magna with 30k miles, runs but won't idle. I think it was a good price at $300 so I'm saving it for a future project bike. I'm thinking maybe a brat or bobber this time.

I used electrolysis and then sealed with POR15 for motorcycle gas tanks. It's been working great for years.

It's been a while since I've had it out but I think there's one or two O-rings in there. They might just need replacing.

I'm not real fond of the liquid tubes either but I couldn't afford the gauges at the time. When I need them again I'll likely get gauges.

I rode my Kawasaki without a front fender until the first good rain I drove through.
