ho ho ho... thanks!
Both bikes with the same problem apparently... but different style carbs if both are stock. Are they stock carbs?
Have you done a thorough cleaning of the carbs?
Count me in please! And THANKS!
By the way... I was cleaning the garage today and came across a Carbtune I used a couple of times, once on a CB900C and once on an SOHC 750. I have no use for it anymore and will let it go for $80...
If the bike runs kind of okay, just won't idle, I'd run a tank with sea foam before taking carbs apart to clean or replace jets. Easy p0easy and you could get lucky.
Oh my...
Wow... I almost didn't make it this month. Thanks!
I'd love to win!! Thanks for the chance.
Better than Vegas!!!
Yeah, like dirtdigger pointed out, that's most likely the problem. I forgot that I use very thin sockets and again as dirtdigger mentioned, the stamped tool that came with the bike is very thin as...
Sorry if I'm totally off base here, but the front sprocket bolts look like they'll come out easily with an offset box end wrench... looks like a 10mm from where I sit. I've not had a 750A so don't...
Any chance that this one might have a larger hex and you just need a larger socket? Nothing else but debris comes to my feeble mind.
here's a carb manual in case you need one...

Here I am, begging for parts again. And thanks for the opportunity!!
I assume you fixed the loose connection and don't need one now. If you do, there's a chance I have one from a '71... but I have a potential buyer coming midweek to buy all my 750 stuff, so I won't...
Is this it?

Yeah, that always makes a difference. You never know who's been into these old bikes, so makes you feel better just knowing what went on. Still a nice looking ride.
Like I said, then.... I get them for $25. You may be lucky and find someone who will pay lots more.
I've bought and sold several windjammers. Have never spent more than $25, including at least two with sound systems... sound systems didn't work, but I really didn't want them anyway, only the...
Darn... I remember back in '71 laying my '71 750 down in the hills on the way to Roanoke. Wasn't the best of days for me, but nothing serious.
Sounds like you got a deal... but now it's been tinkered with. Nice looking ride.
Excellent... I'm in again, thanks.
With no response since July, I think he rode off into the sunset.
No problem...
