ok people help me out here !!!!!

I have installed a new rectifier/regulator combo into a 1972 cb 750 with an after-market wire harness.

here is the question folks; with the key "OFF"? should I be getting power through the red wire in the rectifier ?

OR WILL i ONLY HAVE POWER GOING THROUGH IT WHEN IT IS RUNNING

i WANT TO FIRE THIS BAD BOY UP BUT ALSO DON'T WANT TO fry ANYTHING IN THE PROCESS !!!!

PLEASE HELP!!!!

On the print for the 72 with the stock rectifier red is hot 12vdc at all times, I would think the aftermarket would be the same, You still need a single 15 Amp inline fuse for the keyswitch input power wire.

I've got the aftermarket solid reg/rect. Red wire is hot at all times.
